FS1 personality Skip Bayless is a polarizing figure in sports, and while he has been an esteemed journalist who has covered multiple sports for many decades, some feel he is nothing more than a provocateur who gives hot takes just to ruffle people’s feathers.

For several years, he and his former “Undisputed” co-host Shannon Sharpe, the Pro Football Hall of Famer who was one of the NFL‘s greatest tight ends ever, got great ratings, but they had a falling out nearly a year ago after Bayless made a controversial tweet right after Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin nearly lost his life during a game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Bayless now hosts “Undisputed” alongside two other former NFL stars in Richard Sherman and Keyshawn Johnson, and as shared by Dov Kleiman, there was recently a somewhat heated exchange between Bayless and Sherman.

Bayless and Sherman were discussing the injuries from hip-drop tackles that have occurred in recent months when Sherman interrupted Bayless and told him he had never played the game, and Bayless responded by saying he has covered football dating back to before the 35-year-old Sherman was born.

Sharpe left “Undisputed” several months ago, and he now makes regular appearances on ESPN’s “First Take” alongside Stephen A. Smith, another former colleague of Bayless.

In addition, Sharpe has a very popular podcast, “Club Shay Shay,” where he interviews many former and current star athletes, as well as some stars from outside of the sports world.

Before Bayless became an on-the-air commentator, he was a columnist for several newspapers in major media markets, where he won numerous awards for his work.
